One who do it with money as their primary objective and those whose main objective is to create a community to discuss the topic they are interested in. The problem is that we are told that forums are a good "trick" to get repeated visitors, some had good revenue from forums and people think they will all earn big bucks ... I started 11 forums till now and still didn't monetize that much. And I don't even care about this. Good content and community feeling are what we should focus on .. and then... money will also start being earned. I have to agree with most of what you mentioned in here. I started 11 forums till now and still didn’t monetize that much. And I don’t even care about this. Good content and community feeling are what we should focus on .. and then… money will also start being earned.
