In the past month or so of starting my Free Travel Directory, I am finding out about the most difficult aspect of running a directory, spam!

Yes that’s right, our enemy the spam and the spammer make their appearance felt here as well and almost every day the directory gets bombarded by spammers and their pharmacy links and what not.

However with me approving each and every link manually after a through review, not even a single spam link has yet manage to reach the listing pages and I feel spam will continue to rise in numbers and it would require more and more effort to run the directory as it gets more famous.

Though its not like I am not up for it, so spammers, if you think you can get your site listed in my directory, then you are out of luck. Because no matter how much spam you send my way, I would not approve a single link without reviewing it first!

Some thing I feel should be done by all the directory owners, lack of this effort to monitor spam links is the sole reason why the spam menace has grown to this level! So keep fighting these pitch battle, if you don’t want to loose the war!
