It never hurts to try new things, no matter even if the niche is quite saturated; there is always room for more. Keeping this spirit in mind, today I have started a free travel directory called, Roaming Activated.

Thoughts about starting a directory had been doing rounds in my head for a while now and since I had plenty of hosting space and spare domains, I thought why not use them for some thing productive.

The initial aim of starting this directory is to not only get experience of running a directory (for which I have bigger plans), but also to enhance my SEO skills by getting the directory to rank well and get a good page rank by google.

In doing so I will also try to ensure that I only approve quality sites to ensure those people who do stumbleupon on this free travel directory are provided with links that are able to provide them with information they were initially searching for.
